Aim

In the town of Recklinghausen, with a population of 124.484 there are 30.001 members of Sports Clubs (figures per 31.12.2000). With 112 active Sport Clubs, we provide facilities for 41 different types of sports. These facilities provide our town with the opportunity to welcome those who may be interested to visit, participate and maybe even become club-members. Our Internet page StadtSportVerband Recklinghausen has been designed to provide an easy way of making contact with the Clubs by listing their names or the types of sport that they are individually involved with. (see also Sportstätten) In addition to the above information, we have listed, where possible, the person to contact. Recklinghausen is located between the cities of ESSEN and DORTMUND and is easily reached by car by using the Autobahn A2 and/or A43. The sport fields and halls of the clubs are mentioned in the site (Sportstätten). If for any reason you are unable to contact any of the clubs, please refer to the StadtSportVerband (Central Administration for all Recklinghausen Sport Clubs) who will be very pleased to arrange the contact for you.
